Transfer of SNS Assets to State and/or Local Authorities

As part of the CDC's Bioterrorism Response, the CDC will transfer authority for the SNS material to the state and/or local authorities once it arrives at the airfield. State and/or local authorities will then repackage and label bulk medicines and other SNS material according to their state terrorism contingency plan. The CDC's technical advisors will accompany the SNS in order to assist and advise state/local officials in putting the SNS assets to prompt, effective use.
